The first 3 months of 2009 has
certainly been a buyer’s market,
clients are really looking for
people that have ticks in ALL
the boxes not just 8 or 9 out of 10.
We have seen the contractor market
hit with reduced rates of up to 30%
(read BT's cuts), fewer
projects being signed off and more
contractors than ever looking for
work (this includes redundant
permanent staff applying for
contract roles).

However, don’t despair. By the
beginning of April we have started
to see a few more of our clients
having IT related projects approved,
this may be due to new FY, but
whatever it is we are not complaining.
C2C is working closely with
companies (including Microsoft and
IBM business partners) to supply a
range of experts to work in the UK
and Europe.

Schwee Solutions is a technology
company that has given us the

recruitment agencies and job
boards. We are going to continue
our relationship to further
enhance the functionality we
can provide.

Registration is no longer restricted
to invitation only. After careful
consideration we have agreed that
by allowing any contractor and
freelancer to join would benefit
our clients by having more contracts
and freelancers on our books.
We still encourage our members to
invite other contractors and
freelancers and they will still be
eligible for their commission.
Recommendations are still an
important part of and recruitment
process therefore Contract2Contract
will continue to focus on this
aspect of the process closely.

Contract2Contract.com has decided
to embrace partners and service
providers by allowing these
companies to advertise on our
website. Our partners all deliver
services that are contractor and
freelancer driven, from
accountants and tax advisers to
legal matters. By opening our doors
to our partners means we can
concentrate on our core business
of contractor recruitment.

technology companies regarding the
website and functionality, it was
agreed that Schwee Solutions with
their technical know-how and
years of experience within technology
would be able to provide exactly
what we wanted. They did just
that, without cutting corners and
being fully dedicated to the
project.
